Laptop repair
Screens, keyboards, batteries, charging ports, hinges, slow or dead machines.
What usually happens
You tell me what the laptop is doing. I reply with a quote, or a question if I need one. If you say yes, we book a hand-off: you bring it by appointment, mail it, or I come to you.
Every laptop gets a quick health check on the way in: drive health, battery wear, and whether the fan is doing its job. If something else is about to fail, you hear about it before it does.
Screens
Most laptop screens are a stocked or two-day part. I match the exact panel, not just the size, so brightness and color look the way they did.
Batteries and charging
A battery that lasts an hour is a battery, not a laptop problem. I test the charger and the port first, because a wobbly port is a cheaper fix than a battery.
Slow laptops
An older laptop with a spinning hard drive comes back to life with a solid-state drive. I move your Windows, programs, and files over so it feels like the same machine, only quick.
Worth knowing
Bring the charger. If the laptop has a password, I will ask for it only if the repair needs it, and it is stored encrypted and deleted when you pick the laptop up.
